Salary: Up to £40k basic with a realistic OTE of £110k
Location: Office-based in Manchester or Northampton with expected travel to prospects/clients
About the Sales team:
Our Sales team plays a pivotal role in the rapid growth of CBTax. As the first point of contact for potential clients, the team focuses on establishing trust, identifying needs, and communicating the unique value of our R&D tax consultancy services. Our goal is to become the largest R&D practice across the UK and Ireland, and the Sales team is at the forefront of this mission.
About the role:
This role is perfect for a driven and dynamic Business Development Executive ready for a step up or an experienced Business Development Manager looking to join an exciting and expanding R&D tax consultancy. The role involves leveraging your sales skills and relationship-building abilities to identify and pursue new business opportunities, backed by our award-winning team's support. You will be working with clients in industries such as manufacturing, technology, engineering, scientific, agriculture, construction, and more, helping them unlock the financial benefits of R&D tax credits.
In this role, you'll:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities, utilising both your own network and our telesales resources.
- Lead daily huddles with the telesales team to align objectives and keep motivation high.
- Manage a sales pipeline, focusing on B2B opportunities, and use your sales acumen to build compelling connections.
- Confidently represent CBTax in face-to-face meetings, addressing questions regarding our services, pricing, and timeframes.
- Collaborate closely with our marketing team to ensure effective sales campaigns.
- Oversee the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for new clients.
- Report progress regularly to senior management and streamline sales processes using internal tools.
- Carry out daily follow-ups and strategic planning for prospect engagement.
We're seeking someone with experience including:
- Solid background in business development or sales, with strong account management experience.
- Proven track record of thriving in a target-driven B2B environment, with a focus on effective deal closures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, reliability, and motivation.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
- Methodical, organised, and accurate in all tasks.
- A full driving license and reliable car for prospect meetings is preferred but not essential.
- Sector-specific experience or familiarity with R&D tax claims is advantageous.
